New York is usually my favorite place to be in the summer, but after a month of rain, my boyfriend Nate and I were thrilled to pack up and head west! First stop was Phoenix for a few days where we had a blast—despite the 116-degree weather—haunting thrift shops and consuming copious amounts of ice cream. From there, we roadtripped to the less hot, more humid Los Angeles where we, along with my brother Jack, were psyched to be a part of an awesome sale/show/bbq (great combo) at Space15Twenty along with The 2 Bandits and Ban.do. Both Steel Train and FUN played and it was a ball. I even cranked up the courage to sing backup on one song! Here are a few snaps from our wild West-Coast adventure.
