Chef Anne Willan Book Signing
Some collect stamps (we collect shoes), but Anne Willan, author of The Cookbook Library, has an unusually large personal stash of antiquarian cookbooks. Over 400 volumes dating as far back as 1491, to be exact. And in her new book The Cookbook Library: Four Centuries of the Cooks, Writers, and Recipes That Made the Modern Cookbook (what a mouthful) she explores her collection, tracing the evolution of the modern cookbook, as well as life in and out of the kitchen. Sure, we'll always dig perusing food blogs on the reg, but sometimes we love the feeling of leafing through pages of recipes, which is why we'll be at Willan's signing on Saturday to receive her John Hancock.

SFMOMA Meatup
Sorry veggies, but you may have to sit this one out. This meat-centric event will serve up chicken and beef empanadas in honor of SFMOMA's current Mexican-music exhibit. As part of the museum's “Open Late” Thursdays, Belcampo Meat Co. will be the guest of honor at the Blue Bottle Coffee Bar on the third floor. Come hungry, and don't forget to order a specialty cocktail from St. George Spirits, too. Museum admission is half-price after 6 p.m. on Thursday evenings, so take advantage of discount tickets while the offer's still on the table.

InterContinental Mark Hopkins Annual Summer Movies Series
Now that it’s officially summer (although, you’ll probably still need to bundle up for this event), Top of the Mark’s annual movie series is back. This year the event will showcase classic movies from May 29 until September 4. First up? Gone With The Wind. Oh, and finger-lickin'-good popcorn and specialty wines will be on deck.

Chambers Poolside Brunch
Think poolside brunching doesn’t exist in S.F.? Well, thanks to Chambers Eat + Drink it does! Temescal Alley Art Walk
Come the first Friday of every month you can most likely catch us in Oakland peeping cool art and enjoying sweet eats. The storied art walk is a must-hit and features an array of galleries, restos, and shops displaying prized works. The street style there is pretty on-point, too. See what we mean? This is a one art-filled event you’ll want to make the trip over the Bay Bridge for.
