In anticipation of L.A. dream-pop act Superhumanoids' debut LP Exhibitionists, the band has teamed up with fellow Angeleno Nite Jewel (a.k.a. Ramona Gonzalez) for remix treatment of its new single "Geri." While the original is an unabashedly lively piece of pop, Nite Jewel slows things down, adding off-kilter beats, pitch-shifted vocals, and unexpected tempo changes to the track.
Sarah Chernoff of Superhumanoids had this to say: "I love what Ramona (a.k.a. Nite Jewel) did with 'Geri.' It is a very straight-forward pop track — verse, chorus, verse, chorus — and her experimental take on the structure and instrumentation breathes new life into the song, giving it a refreshed and dynamic character."

If you like what you hear and live in the NYC area, the band will be playing a show at Mercury Lounge tomorrow. Be on the lookout for Exhibitionists on June 11.
