And there you have it! Target-loving city-dwellers won't just be getting one Target in the very near future, according to the San Francisco Business Times, the S.F. Planning Commission unanimously approved a second target to open in the Inner Richmond in spring 2013. As once rumored, the new store will occupy what's now a deserted 12,000-square-foot Mervyn's at the lackluster City Center Mall at Geary and Masonic. The new shop, which is expected to create around 200 jobs, will follow S.F.'s first "City Target," which will open in 2012 in SoMa's Metreon building. Naturally, both big-box retailers will be smaller than those outside of the city, and they will also have an emphasis on fresh food. Take a look at renderings of the new City Center Target here. Okay, who's excited?
