that Taylor Tomasi Hill is on Barneys' CEO Mark Lee's short-list of candidates to be the new Barneys New York fashion director, a position left open by the rather shocking departure (there's a whole lot of was she or wasn't she talk) of long-time BNY alum Julie Gilhart. Previously an accessories editor for Teen Vogue, TTH is currently rocking it as Marie Claire's style and accessories director, a slightly unusual place from which to jump into the buying realm. New chief executive Mark Lee had eyed Vogue's Virginia Smith and Sarah Ruston from Lane Crawford, but both reportedly weren't into the move. We think Tomasi-Hill—who landed in our Fashion 50 at a very commendable #20—would certainly inject some fresh POV into the department store.
