Teenage Bedrooms Offer Your Space A Dose Of Nostalgia

It’s no secret that amazing Tumblrs pop up nearly every day—there are microblogs that celebrate literally everything from hilarious Starbucks misspellings to potential Criterion Collection DVD covers for movies that will never have the privilege of being a Criterion film. Teenage Bedroom is one of these superb blogs that will soon have its rightful place on the edge of Internet glory. Readers send in photos of the rooms they decorated themselves as teens—and some still are teens—in all their angsty, mis-matchy, pop-poster glory. While some of the bedrooms are beautifully restrained and tasteful, the best of the lot have walls tacked with messy posters of the Olsen twins, scattered tableaus of pop-culture souvenirs, and pieces that speak to quiet, mom-overlooked rebellion. There are some decorating cues to steal—oh hey, clipboards as picture-frames—but most of them contain a kind of super-relatable teenage chaos that will make you feel all sorts of nostalgic fuzzies.
