Step just off the well-trod tourist trail of Washington museums and find yourself in The Sultan's Garden, a new exhibition at The Textile Museum that showcases the intricate, extravagant, and utterly gorgeous floral motifs of the mid-16th century Ottoman empire. This is going to be one of the most eye-candy-heavy exhibits of the season, in our book. And if you want to be truly immersed in these Turkish delights, be there next Thursday evening for a special PM @ The TM soirée in the museum's lovely gardens.
In true art-party style, the Beauty and The East soirée will offer live music, food and drinks from Georgetown resto Mie n Yu, Washington Post fashion photogs snapping the best on-theme ensembles, and stunning gypset-style decorations by Morgan Hungerford West. West has an amazing Pinterest board of her inspirations for the project, which should also give you plenty of ideas for what to wear to the party (or any day you're feeling boho).
