Shopping For Vintage Is Now Really, Really Easy

It's hard to focus when you live in paradise. We'd rather sip on a margarita and watch the clouds shift than lift a finger. We'd rather stay up all night and dance with friendly multilingual South American tourists than get our beauty sleep. And yes, sometimes, we'd rather shop from our laptops than walk into an actual brick and mortar. Tough life, right?
That's exactly why we're thankful for Nicole Tafur and Marianna Maurer, founders of The Archive, a Miami-based e-commerce site devoted to making our lives much, much easier. For the past year and a half, the two vintage-loving ladies have been hard at work creating a website designed to pair spectacular pieces from the past with their contemporaries. The site will showcase a bright-red polyester blouse from Halston's heyday, for example, and provide current trending iterations found on Shopbop, Gap, and Yoox.

Each vintage piece available is curated by Tafur and Maurer, and you can shop by category (like tops, dresses, sweaters and jackets), or by trend (brights, denim, '60s). Sifting from one category to the next is as smooth as a baby's bottom, so we're very sure this process will eventually endanger our poor attempt at budgeting. The team also produces its own seasonal story boards — perfect examples of how to merge vintage with modern — and features related accessories such as nail polish and clutches.
Perhaps we will lift a finger today. Maybe, just maybe.
