Alberta Ferretti showed a whimsical collection for girls with great legs at Alberta Ferretti di Philosophy last night. Barely-there shift dresses, jumpers, and short-shorts in Ferretti's signature sheer fabrics dominated the presentation, and lighthearted prints (think lip appliques, blue eyes, and butterflies) kept things breezy. The crowd that filtered through Eyebeam Gallery to catch one of the six presentations was an uptown/downtown mash-up that included Bobby Flay and wife Stephanie March, the Richards girls, and a Philosophy-clad Tinsley Mortimer who had a CW camera crew trailing her, which must explain why she was so nice to us. Caviar, tuna, and steak hors d'oeuvres refueled the flock after a long day of shows while spiked pink lemonade and white wine prepped said flock for the evening's parties. But, considering those precariously hiked hemlines, we might have to lay off the alcohol--and food for that matter--come spring.
