The Neighbourhood’s Jam, “Sweater Weather,” Sets Our Sights On Summer Loving

Sure, it may be closer to swimsuit than sweater season, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get our jam on to this chilly temp-themed tune. The Neighbourhood’s "Sweater Weather" has been a Spotify fave for weeks, and we’ve been humming the song nonstop.
The Cali quintet’s latest is chock-full of head-bobbing beats and alluring lyrics that swirl together the perfect combo of hip-hop and folk rock. Lead singer, Jesse James Rutherford, flexes his rap roots with some sweet flow in the verses, while crafting a mega-catchy hook for the chorus. Try to get Rutherford’s smooth vocals out of your head, we dare you!
The Neighbourhood keeps it pretty low-key, but expect that to change once their EP, I’m Sorry drops, or when "Sweater Weather" blows up and becomes this year’s "Pumped Up Kicks." Not convinced The Neighbourhood deserves to be L.A.’s next buzzy band? Check out dark and moody "Female Robbery" with its Lana Del Rey-esque opening, and you'll be floored. Trust. But in the meantime, peep the jam we're oh-so stuck on above.
