Sunday Agenda: Piccino Hosts Oyster Parklet

The Oyster Girls 3x4
Loving the city's growing parklet trend? What about pop-up restaurants? Okay, now how about a pop-up restaurant in a parklet?! Yes, yes. That is exactly what is going down this Sunday at the parklet in front of Dogpatch resto Piccino, where the Italian spot will be hosting the traveling (and charmingly named) oyster bar, The Oyster Girls.
Get ready to catch some rays while these culinary darlings are outside shucking the finest and freshest oysters from the popular seafood farm, Tomales Bay Oyster Company. You can choose between raw or barbecued oysters on the half-shell, along with a bevy of full-flavored sauces. Plus, Piccino will be taking to the pavement and serving up its homemade pork sausages to pair with refreshing white wines that are sure to complement the oysters' sweet, salty, and briny flavors.

Just make sure to get them quick before there's nothing left but empty shells!

When: Sunday, March 4, noon

Where: Piccino, 1001 Minnesota Street (at 22nd Street); 415-824-4224.
