The Perfect Outfit: How To Rock Clashing Colors

nomnomslide
Yesterday, if someone had told us they wore pink, red, camel, black, and leopard in one outfit, we probably would have recommended an eye test. But then we spied Linda of NomNomBlingBling looking super cute in a striped sweater, mini, and leopard pumps, and we were sold.
Why it works? The statement colors (pink and red) are in the same color family, which creates a sense of continuity. The black tights and black cross-body bag keep the look grounded, and a splash of leopard print makes the wild combo look totally intentional — and therefore chic. Recreate the look with a palette that incorporates orange and red (keep it in the family, remember?), add interest with an unexpected color such as lilac, and make it all look grown-up and polished with a ladylike pump.
