Anica’s Former Owner Reveals New Online Fashion Project!

When utterly amazing Russian Hill boutique Anica closed in May after
six years of business, we had no idea what the shop’s owner, Rati Sahi,
would be up to next. But now, she’s breaking the news! Sahi has joined
a new online venture TheRealReal.com as Director of Merchandising, where she’ll be curating a selection of consigned
high-end goods by the likes of YSL, Prada, Chanel, and Marni, as well
as standby brands like Rachel Comey and Alexander Wang. Created by
S.F.-based stylist Marcy Carmack and internet entrepreneur Julie
Wainwright, the RealReal is looking to bring the whole designer
consignment experience online in a flash sales format, with each of
the items up for grabs for 72 hours at a deeply discounted price. In
addition to consigned items, the e-retailer will also carry pieces
from several designers’ secondary lines, as well as pieces from
higher-end lines that have slight imperfections. While sales start at
the end of the month, membership enrollment starts today. Get in on
the action, and learn how to consign with the site, at the link below.
Congrats, Rati!
