We hope Bart Simpson has his best black suit pressed and ready to go. He'll be needing it soon.
The season 26 premiere of The Simpsons will feature the death of one of Springfield's own. While the show's brass have yet to reveal who will kick the bucket, producer Al Jean said that no matter who goes, viewers can expect "an emotional story."
Based on the episode's title "Clown in the Dumps," logic would point toward a Krusty-centric story line. While there's little chance they'll kill off Krusty the Clown, his father, Rabbi Hyman Krustofski, is ripe for the picking. Consider this: Producers said the actor who voiced the ill-fated character won an Emmy for his/her performance in the role.
After some intrepid sleuthing on our part, we discovered that legendary Hollywood comedian Jackie Mason did indeed win an Emmy for voicing Krusty's father all the way back in 1992. Mason last appeared as Krustofski in the episode "The Fool Monty," which aired in November 2010.
