Everything about Italian experimental pop outfit Estasy makes a point about how “mysterious” they are, right down to the music itself. From masked images of vocalist Emiliano Maggi to cover art that looks like a monster who may have wandered out of
Pan’s Labyrinth
, the vibe of Estasy is downright spooky. The synth stabs at the track's beginning are especially unnerving, coming at you like knives through a dense fog. It’s a vibe reminiscent of '70s giallo soundtracks, where swirling vocals sound as demonic as they are angelic. It's coming to us at the perfect time, though. As the days grow shorter, “Wild Wants” gives you a good reason to keep your candles burning.
