Ladies, if Thom Browne's shrunken suits and avant-garde take on classic American menswear has you digging around the little boys' section in hopes of recreating the look, you'll be glad to know he's launching a new line of womenswear. It's not his first dive into womenswear though; In 2007 and 2008, Thom designed little capsule collections for Barneys, and has been tailoring his men's suits to fit the small clientele of women who he welcomed into his New York show. What's different about this time around? Thom is spending more energy on making sure it sticks. While only containing one rack's worth of samples, "In the next couple seasons it will become a fully developed collection," Thom says. The line will contain lots of gray flannels, cashmeres, and—obviously—menswear adapted for ladies. Find the pieces this fall at Barneys New York, Colette, and 10 Corso Como Seoul. (WWD)
