The Magical Beauty Product That Brings Out Your Inner Chameleon

topshop ibiza embed
Ever looked at a beetle's wing and wished you had makeup that mimicked its iridescent, duo-chrome color? If your answer to that totally normal question (cough) is yes, your dream is now a reality with the release of Topshop's Chameleon Glow. I've been consistently impressed with the brand's beauty innovations, but these three multipurpose pots of pigment are some next-level magic.
In theory, you can use the pressed powder anywhere on your face, though I'm more inclined to concentrate shades of green, gold, and purple around my eyes. One layer creates a subtle, luminous sheen, but it's easy to build the pigment until the perfect statement-making look is achieved. It's almost holographic, the way the hue changes so drastically when you look at it from different angles.

So, I set out to road-test this magical product. After using some foundation as a primer, I applied a bunch of the Shuffle the Cards shade — which changes from pink to gold — on my top lid, extending it just past the crease and adding some black liquid liner and mascara for definition. The result? Constant compliments. All day, people stopped me to ask, "Wait, what color is that eyeshadow?"
This is also an amazing way to add some extra oomph to a bold-lip look. I usually just wear a statement lipstick with some mascara, but a thin veil of Chameleon Glow swept across my lids creates just a touch of summery etherealness. All in all, this product is one major summer-beauty win.
Topshop Chameleon Glow in U-Turn, $16, available at Topshop.
