Lourdes Lopez’s feet have carried her a very long way. Starting as a young Cuban immigrant in love with dance, she worked her way into a principal position at the New York City Ballet under the direction of choreography legends George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. After 24 years onstage, she again followed her bliss, co-founding the modern, collaborative, and critically loved dance company, Morphoses, and taking on the role of artistic director at The Miami City Ballet in her hometown.
Though you may not wear ballet slippers to work, there’s so much you can gain by following in Lopez’s career footsteps. Click play to discover the questions that led this dancer to success and learn all her professional moves.
