Trend Watch: Fend Off Winter Blues With A Pop of Pastel

This fall, we're determined to pass over our seas of blacks and neutrals and swath ourselves in color. But one too many brightly hued layers, and it's easy to go from quirky-cool to Bozo-riffic. And in reality, when the snow outside is going to seem as gray as our soul (okay, maybe that's dramatic), it's hard to do anything but cloak ourselves in the dark. However, the latest spring-flingy pastel trend has worked its way into our psyche, and we're already dreaming of ways to work pale yellow, blue, and dusty pink into our fall uniform. Hanneli's dove-gray Acne boots set her apart from the sea of black clunkers, and we can't get over how incredible a soft lavender jumpsuit would look under a trench.
