Hometown Hero Trina Turk Returns to S.F. & Collabs With Banana

It's shaping up to be a good year for Bay Area native Trina Turk. Not only is her namesake label going gangbusters, supplying all those wild prints you see hanging on the racks of Neiman Marcus, but she's working on a collab that will make it even easier to slip her colorful goods into your wardrobe.
A product of partnering with another locally born favorite, the Banana Republic Trina Turk Collection will offer summery, Palm Springs-inspired looks right on time for the warm season when it debuts at a BR near you this June.

But — as they say on TV — that's not all. Turk will be hitting her home turf next Wednesday when she sits down for a seminar discussion with California Home + Design's Executive Editor at the San Francisco Design Center. Expect the hometown girl to dish on how to find your individual style, what it takes to build a mega-successful fashion brand, and why she thinks California is the best place to design womenswear. Naturally, if you can get any advance details about that BR collab out of her, contact us immediately.

When: Wednesday, February 1, 10 to 11 a.m.

Where: San Francisco Design Center, Galleria Atrium 101 Henry Adams Street (between Alameda and 15th streets); 415-490-5800.
RSVP: Free; do it here!
