Just a few short years ago, the world was bound in the seductive spell of Edward Cullen. In 2008, the initial tale in the Twilight series was released to the silver screen. Tween fans and adults alike helped that first film gross $35.7 million on its opening day. The four movies that followed were also major successes.
During this time, the fandom of Twilight grew rapidly and dramatically. Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner inspired cult followings of #TeamEdward and #TeamJacob before hashtags were really even a thing. And, many fans both resented Kristen Stewart for her romance with R.Pattz and simultaneously wanted to be Bella Swan.

But, now the sun has set risen on the Twilight saga, and the actors in the trilogy are feeling a bit, well... cold.
Just this month, Pattinson starred in a new a movie called The Rover. Now in its second week, the film has made just over $500,000. In 2012, he was featured in two films -- Cosmopolis and Bel Ami -- that didn't even break a million. Combined.
K. Stew has stayed close to fantasy, starring in 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman, which made more than $150 million. Though a sequel is underway, Miss Stewart will not be continuing in the story's saga.
For Taylor Lautner, post-Twilight success has been sparse, as he's taken supporting roles in each of his three most recent films.
Though the vampire trend may slowly be fading, at least these three stars will always remain bright in the dark sky above Forks, Washington. (International Business Times)
