Horror of horrors! Eye-gouging footwear brand Ugg has already sullied many a foot of our dorm-mates, Midwestern cousins, and fellow NYC pedestrians, and now it has set its furry eye on strappy-shoe brand, Jimmy Choo. The two will collaborate on a limited edition collection to spawn five devil-shoes "based on the construction of Ugg's sheepskin boots 'with design details that embody the spirit of the Jimmy Choo brand.'" "It can't get worse," you say? Get this: The line will range from $595 to $795. For that much money, we'll pay you to not buy them. But perhaps this slow diseasing of the Choo brand has been a long time coming. Also revealed in the WWD report is this harrowing statement: "Tamara Mellon, president and founder of Jimmy Choo, said that alongside her own label, 'Ugg Australia is the only other footwear I have in my wardrobe.'" Lord save us all. (WWD)
