Somehow, UNIQLO always anticipates our needs. Whether we're about to have a hankering for sensible basics or Helmut Lang sweatpants, the Japanese retailer just knows it's coming. Because it's so tuned in to our sartorial desires, the brand is bringing back a curated selection from its popular +J Collection, which hasn't seen UNIQLO's shelves for a couple of seasons. But, we missed it, and the U knew we wanted it back.
+J was born out of a collaboration with German designer Jil Sander back in 2009. WWD reports that while Sander didn't come out of retirement for this revival, UNIQLO picked out some of her most popular designs, which range from button-downs to outerwear, for a 42-piece comeback. The first look at the final cut reveals well-tailored, structured coats that won't break the bank — items will retail from $39.90 to $229.90.
The +J Collection will be available for purchase online and in select UNIQLO locations on October 10. But, if you're in Philadelphia, you can shop it a week earlier: To celebrate the new storefront on Chestnut Street, UNIQLO will be premiering the collection in the city of brotherly love on October 3. The rest of us will wait anxiously for our (second) chance at the goods.
