Valli Ravindran, Head of Product, Tablet Hotels
Award-winning product designer Valli Ravindran has been the creative force behind projects such as Fresh Grub, Thiaao, and most recently Tablet Hotels, but her most creative feats might just be her playful ensembles — which we can attest to, as she's also a former R29er. Bright colors, artistic shapes, and a mix-and-match mentality make her outfits not only eye-catching but also endlessly joyful.
And, when it comes to Ravindran's feel-good outfits, she has no qualms about paying it forward. With a collection that mixes ASOS, Opening Ceremony, and treasures found around the globe, there is only one piece in her closet that she will never part with…Perhaps, because it's the happiest of all.

My style in six words or less:
"Happy, breezy, bright, and artsy."

The dressing difficulties I've had to overcome:
"Sometimes I am unrealistic in the way I put an outfit together, [so] learning to put practical before pretty."

My favorite up-and-coming designers:
"Tsumori Chisato, a Japanese designer — I dig her edgy cuts and the details she adds. Nishe, a Hong Kong-based designer, makes dresses that are fused with girly patterns and soft fabrics, perfect for a spring/summer wardrobe."

My most surprising, out-of-left-field fashion find:
"I was traveling in the remote areas of northern India, near the border of China, and I found this elaborate, vintage-beaded headgear for a bargain — not sure if it was worn by the empress or the local tribe, but it sure works as a statement necklace, and I love it."

My three favorite places to shop:
"Pixie Market, ASOS, and Opening Ceremony."

I could never, ever part with:
"My wedding Lehenga, everything else is a-okay to recycle."

My definitive summer go-to outfit:
"I am a dress girl for most of the year, and summer is an extra-special time to add more frills and flair to it. Pair ‘em with a pair of platform shoes, round shades, and a crossbody satchel – a ‘happy’ combination to stroll around and smell the tulips all season long."
