In what feels like just another step toward her eventual conquering of the world, Vera Wang is expanding her already massive empire into cosmetics,
WWD
reported this morning. The designer is pairing up with the Estée Lauder-owned BeautyBank — which also owns brands like Flirt!, Good Skin, and American Beauty — to launch a 74-piece color cosmetics collection that will retail exclusively in Kohl's stores this April.
The makeup line will complete Wang's extensive array of branded products available at Kohl's, which already includes clothing, purses, jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, sleepwear, outerwear, and home goods. "A pop of color is such a gorgeous way to let your natural beauty shine through," says Wang. "It’s the ultimate accessory.” The colors are pretty enough, but there's nothing we're totally bowled over by based on these pictures. One thing that did pique our interest was Wang's revelation that nail color is an "obsession" with her daughters and that polish might be next on the roster. Yes, please! (WWD)
