Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas if it wasn't preceded by the flesh-baring antics of the Victoria's Secret Show. While it's tricky to comprehend the precise purpose of this catwalk-show-meets-circus-spectacular, there's no denying that the combination of barely-clad hot models and Justin Bieber draws TV viewers beyond a Chanel show's wildest dreams (sorry, Karl).
The lingerie giant has just released details about its 2013 shindig, and while many of the usual suspects will be reattaching their wings for the show, one supe is conspicuously absent from the line-up. Yep, longtime Angel Miranda Kerr.
Back in April, we reported that Miranda Kerr was rumoured to have been dropped from Angel duties due to her "difficult reputation", but Victoria's Secret spokesman Ed Razek denied these claims, adding that: "While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we'd like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me. We have no plans to stop working with her. In fact, I've already invited her to walk the runway in this year's fashion show and, happily, she's agreed."
The reason for Miranda's absence from the announced 2013 line-up hasn't been given, but don't let it get you down: you'll still be able to see Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel, Lindsay Ellingson, Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes, Behati Prinsloo "and many more" parading in scanty underwear. And who knows, maybe Miranda will be named as one of the "many more"?
The show airs on CBS, Tuesday December 10.
