End-Of-Week Agenda: A Double Dose of Fashion Affairs

main
We’ve all been there, waited what seems like forever for the weekend to finally roll around, only to realize we don’t have any real plans. Sigh. So, to avoid an empty Friday night schedule, we’ve found two can’t-miss shopping events that have us counting down the days! See the rad fete details below and mark your calendars accordingly.

The Golden Collective Vintage Sale

Think all the noteworthy sales disappear after Labor Day weekend? Think again! This Friday, monthly pop-up retailer The Golden Collective is back at it again (and teaming up with shopping app Threadflip) and will be rolling out racks upon racks of yesteryear apparel, all baring sliced price tags. Dig through the one-of-a-kind pieces (some from pro Pinner and R29 fave Celisse Muller) between sips of bubbly and relish in all the affordable treasures. Seriously, is there any better way to jumpstart the weekend than with free booze and bygone wares on the cheap? We don’t think so! Peep the deets below, and save some goods for us.

When: Friday, September 7, 5 to 10 p.m.

Where: Asterisk Magazine, 3156 24th Street (at Shotwell Street); 415-839-9707.

Serial Cultura Trunk Show

Sure, you could browse the latest lookbooks of locally designed duds via the web, but we think seeing (and trying on!) the pieces is a much more effective approach. And at this Serial Cultura trunk show, we can appreciate the fine details within the brand’s print-tastic dresses, scarves, tops, and trousers. Additionally awesome: You can pair Serial Cultura’s fall apparel with heavy metal jewels designed by Oakland's Lauren Wolf, and leave feeling like a total rock star.

When: Friday, September 7, noon to 9 p.m.

Where: Esqueleto, 482 49th Street (at Clarke Street), Suite A, Oakland; 510-629-6216.
