Another upside to living in Miami? You can attend a full-on outdoor local music festival in February. Yeah, if you don't live here, we know you're jealous. GrassRoots, a nonprofit organization devoted to spreading arts and education, is premiering their first Virginia Key GrassRoots Festival this weekend at the historic Virginia Key Beach Park. The hippie-filled concert lasts from Thursday at 4:00 p.m. to Sunday at 12:00 a.m. (yes, that's one loooong weekend rager), with ticket options ranging from full four-day passes with camping and parking options to just single day admission for those not ready to become one with the bugs.
The festival features over forty bands, like well-known Miami artists ArtOfficial and Jahfe, and bigger superstars such as Grammy-winning superstar Chaka Khan, meaning you'll experience a smorgasbord of musical tastes—reggae, latin, hip hop, and bluegrass will all be accounted for.
