VPL’s Fall Collection Is Its’ Sexiest Yet

vpl-fall-01
Stylist-designer Victoria Bartlett has always been sexy. So, when she released her own line of undergarment-inspired styles, VPL, or Visible Panty Line, back in '03, we knew our bodies would never look the same. Bartlett's aim was to fill that barren space between lingerie and sportswear, and, judging by the success of the underwear-as-outerwear trend, she was on to something really, really good. What makes her pieces so cool is the fact that they can be mixed, matched, and layered in a million different ways, challenging the blatant sexiness in undergarments—"I don't do T and A," she quips. For fall '10, Bartlett has focused her knowledgeable eye on further pushing the outerwear component of her garments. She's added sleek patchwork bodysuits with cutouts, some sparkly sequin bandeaus, and a startlingly sensual flesh-toned spandex crop-top-and-biker-short combo to her usual repertoire of classic color-blocked underpinnings. The whole collection lets you take things from the street to the bedroom (or vice versa)—that's if you can make it out the door (wink, wink).
