Vegan nail polish, while awesome and amazing, is not exactly known for its style street cred. Because, let's be honest, most vegan brands are more concerned with green benefits than a runway presence. But recently, thanks to brands like Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, that's all changing.
Following in the footsteps of Julep, Zoya, and Butter London — which have paired up with designers like Trina Turk, Peter Som, and Vena Cava — OCC has teamed up with VPL to release vegan polishes that were inspired by and worn at the VPL fall '12 show. Mustard, Purple Grey, and Dirty Olive are the three brand-new, limited-edition hues that are cruelty-free, as is the norm with all OCC products.

As VPL continues its push into vegan fashion with bags and shoes, we think this partnership is not only inspiring, but definitely a step further in the right direction for Victoria Bartlett. It's nice to see our love of cruelty-free beauty and forward-thinking designers blending together so seamlessly. We can only hope this inspires more of our fave vegan lines to step up to the fashion plate — or, better yet, to realize that vegan and fashionable don't have to be mutually exclusive.
