Don't call Chris Cunningham's new film for Flora by Gucci romantic. "(That's) a word that doesn't fit in the Gucci code," explains Riccardo Ruini who developed the concept for the commercial. Never mind that we grew dewey eyed upon watching Australian model Abbey Lee cocoon into a gauzy Flora print butterfly, a field of 20,000 flowers surrendering to the power of her every move. No Romance here. Instead, Cunningham's vision for the film was deeply poetic, ultra ephemeral, and strongly guided by a '70s and '80s sound aesthetic. Donna Summer disco classic "I Feel Love" was re-recorded specifically for the film. We feel it too Donna. (Dazed Digital)
