Cast of Vices Opens Shop At SMMoA

The Santa Monica Museum of Art's retail arm, Gracie—a space known to specialize in art curiosities, accessories, and rare finds galore—is setting up an ultra-cool shop-in-shop on Wednesday, January 26 to showcase the Cast of Vice never-before-seen F/W 2011 collection. Expanding beyond the classic jewelry that turns vices into urban-chic statements (think gold-plated Vicodin or Valium pills recast as twisted modern dog tags), the collection will also feature new leather embossed bags that "cast a critical eye on our continued use of plastic bags" (we can't wait to see how they do that!). Doors open at 6pm, with entertainment and libations in honor of the museum's "The Donkey Show" exhibition. This is an event you don't want to miss because the collection will then travel across the Atlantic to the seminal Paris boutique Colette, where Cast of Vice's sense of subversive cool is sure to be a hit. So get your dibs now and keep America cool!
