Baby, it's cold outside! So cold, in fact, that the latest wedding trend — which, full disclosure, we're completely on the fence about — involves brides cosying up to wedding gowns paired with knit jumpers and cardigans. Is nothing sacred?
Though many might be squeamish about hiding their flouncy Vera Wang gown under a bulky cable-knit jumper, goosebumps or no, the trend's got plenty of celebrity support. How I Met Your Mother actress Cobie Smulders donned a mint green cardigan for her wedding reception, while royalists will no doubt recall the
Duchess of Cambridge's white angora bolero for her own big day.

A sweater-wearing bride also graced the cover of New York Magazine's 2012 Wedding Issue, with editor Lauren DeCarlo telling NBC's Today that the unconventional look added "so much softness and texture, which I found to be extremely romantic."
There you have it. Just lay off the Christmas jumpers, ladies. We don't care how cold it is — Rudolph and Frosty have no business marching down the aisle. But in all seriousness, would you try this look? Our office is quite torn. (Daily Mail)
