Vagabond Indie Craft Fair
Coming back for its fourth round, undoubtedly by popular demand, Urban Bazaar will be setting up its Vagabond Indie Craft Fair this Saturday and Sunday, that features one-of-a kind pieces of jewelry, artwork, and accessories created by over twenty local artists. And if you happen to wonder what that super-sweet smell is while shopping, it’s most likely the decadent desserts sitting over at the bake sale table, with proceeds benefitting Rancho Cotate High School's art mural program. Looking for a super unique gift for Mom? Head over to the event’s sewing demo, where you can actually hop on one of the machines! In other words, this event is a total triple-threat of fun.
When: Saturday, May 5, Sunday, May 6, 12 to 6 p.m.
Where: Urban Bazaar, 1371 9th Avenue (between Judah and Irving streets); 415-664-4422.
Urban Air Market
If you’re looking to skip the bric-a-brac aisles and ready to get your fashion fix, then the Urban Air Market was practically made for you. This bi-annual event is bringing back its motherlode of fashion merch made from over 150 local designers. And don’t expect racks of questionable apparel, as each participating designer has been hand-picked based on a number of criteria, including quality and sustainable methods. Um, yes please! And if you’re in the mood for a total Kodak moment, jump into Storenvy’s super-fun photobooth that will be on the scene. In between shopping breaks, we suggest checking out the live performances from the events local acts. Music, photos, and fashion? Seriously, is there anything not to love? We doubt it.
