DIY girls and boy and home decor buffs, mark your calendars! Kicking off tomorrow evening, West Elm in Emeryville is hosting a little (free!) print-making class with Christine Schmidt, owner of San Francisco's much beloved Yellow Owl Workshop, makers of everything from stationery and stamps to ceramics and lovely pendant necklaces. Here, you'll get a chance to carve your very own personal stamp and learn how to create super-unique prints with it! The hour-long workshop will be followed by a book signing and reception with Schmidt in honor of her crafty tome Print Workshop: Hand-Printing Techniques + Truly Original Projects. Sounds like a solid Saturday plan to us!
When: Saturday, June 11; Workshop from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Book signing and reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: West Elm, 5602 Bay Street (at Shellmound Street) Emervyille; 510-655-1367.
