When a new restaurant opens with The Absinthe Group (Absinthe, Comstock Saloon, Arlequin Cafe) behind it, you know it’s got to be good. That’s just one of the reasons why folks from all around town will be flocking to the new resto Boxing Room, housed in the former Citizen Cake venue in Hayes Valley. The space was a shirt-boxing room for the Standard Shirts Factory back in the day (hence the name). The eatery will be presided over by much buzzed about 26-year-old executive chef, Justin Simoneaux, a Louisiana native who's mixing cajun cookin’ (Deep fried alligator is on the menu!) with California’s own signature fresh flavors. Just how should you dress for this new venue, which touts its “rustic and bold” flavors? How about something just as earthy and spicy as the menu? Take a look at our simple five-ingredient guide to creating the perfect outfit!
