What We’re Wearing: Ashley’s Week’s-End Outfit At Refinery29!

Ashley Baluyut, Guest Intern From Milk Teeths
What I'm Wearing: "The red palm frond dress is vintage from The Salvation Army. It used to be a little too big for me but my Grandma, who happens to be the world’s best tailor, volunteered to alter it and now it fits beautifully. The woven belt is stolen from my mom’s closet and my leather penny loafers (that actually came with pennies!) are also vintage and from The Salvation Army. I think this outfit cost like $8 all together."
The Thing That Surprised Me Most About Working At Refinery29: "Definitely how sweet and down to earth everyone is. Not that I thought I’d be surrounded by mini Miranda Priestlys per se, but I was totally put at ease the second I walked in. Whew!"
My Favorite In-Office Refinery29 Memory: "This was funny to me only because I’ve never seen this before, but in the office there is this big flat screen television that charts site traffic in real time and the braided hairstyle DIY piece was pretty much going viral. Slowly, as people begin to realize the increased traffic, the excitement starts to build. I look up and see the screen flashing wildly as fingers point, cheering erupts, and everyone starts to freak out. Looking back, I thought the scene was weirdly sweet and kind of dorky, which made the whole thing even better."
What I've Still Got To Do In NY: "I’m a museum fiend so I definitely need to go pay visits to a few of the greats. Other than that, getting a good bowl of matzah ball soup and a piece of crack pie from Milk Bar would be the perfect end to this whirlwind trip."
