Where I Was From Takes The Guesswork Out Of Buying & Styling Vintage

where-i-was-from
Where I Was From, a new online vintage boutique, is changing the retro-hunting game in its entirety. This new e-shop will have you rethinking how you buy and style your vintage wares, starting with some pretty amazing inspirational shots. The Williamsburg, Brooklyn company is taking their clothes out of the über-manufactured studio setting and instead showcasing them IRL, in a way that satisfies both our desire to look at beautiful photos and our want need to buy everything in them.
The brainchild of Claire Lampert, the former design director of Bodkin, the site's every detail clearly reflects the taste and connoisseurship of an industry veteran. From the collection of menswear-inspired pieces to the laid-back denim-on-denim layering featured in the shots, the site makes the sometimes-difficult process of modernizing vintage more simple — and chic. We especially love how they used the patchwork Levi's on both male and female models, and gave a new definition to his-and-hers styling.
With this dream-come-true addition to the e-commerce world, you're one click away from bringing the items (or complete looks, we aren't judging) into your own romp-in-the-woods adventure. Visit the just-launched Where I Was From now for one-of-a-kind vintage Norma Kamali, Pendleton, Dior, and more, plus inspiration on how to wear it all.
