Meet Yvie: A late '70s/early '80s purple vintage brocade jacket I bought on eBay last year for a mere song (hint: It was well under $50). When YSL asked us to join their blogging trip across the country, we knew that bringing Yvie along was a good idea. She loves a good time. She knows how to make an entrance. She's fashionably inappropriate in all the right ways. Because of all these things, we knew she would help us sniff out each city's most stylish women—ladies with real attitude, who own their personal style and eat predictable fashion rules for breakfast…basically women who weren't afraid of purple brocade and big sharp shoulders. As we had hoped, Yvie really got around—and, as you can see, she looked damn good doing it.
