"Right now I'm in love with Iceland, a country where everyone is so creative they don't feel threatened by other people's ideas. Sometimes, I love things created with new technology rather than paper. Video magazines like Fly are smart. They include fantastic short fashion films. I don't use it yet, but I'm sure new realities like Second Life are definitely platforms where creators can be more active. In general, I'm very inspired by Dutch and Swiss photography—the Exactitude Project and Geoffrey Cottenceau tell sublime stories. My personal current style challenge concerns man boots. I'm wondering if the ideal model—not too cowboy, not too biker—really exists. Perhaps something like a 1930s army officer pair? Otherwise, I find micro-phenomena like pen twirling communities fascinating."
