Kenzo Names Opening Ceremony’s Carol Lim And Humberto Leon As Its New Creative Directors

Humberto Leon and Carol Lim are part of NYC's fashion lore, creating a super-profitable and insanely popular shop filled with hard-to-find indie brands, unique collaborations, as well as designs from their own in-house brand. Now, bigger names are taking note, and LVMH who owns youthful brand Kenzo is finally cashing in, naming Leon and Lim as Kenzo's new Creative Directors. They replace Antonio Marras who ran the brand from 2004 until last month's men's collection. With the duo behind the design house again, Kenzo is expected to reenter the U.S. market, and create new products to supplement their men's, women's, perfumes, home furnishings, and eyewear lines. Their first collection will be shown this fall. (WWD)
