In my mind, the holidays pair perfectly with anything and everything that sparkles. From sporting sequined dresses to my upcoming holiday parties to hanging twinkle lights inside my home, I just can’t seem to get enough glitter this season. And, my nails are no exception. I recently pulled out my big box of polish and rounded up a few colors that felt like the holidays to me. Each one is glittery, festive, and fun for this time of year. Graphite
I never expected I would love the gold-gray color of graphite so much, but this edgy hue has grown on me lately. It’s the perfect color to wear if you want to sport something lighter than black and a little more shimmery than solid gray. My favorite graphite polish is Chanel’s “Graphite” (appropriately named, no?).

Gold Glitter
Every girl should have a bottle of gold glitter polish in her collection. It’s my go-to when I’m painting my nails for a holiday party, but it’s a favorite all year-round as well. Try Golden Rule by Sally Hansen. The small gold flecks catch the light perfectly.

Gray
Gray was one of my top picks for my fall polish favorites, and I think it’s a color that carries into the winter season perfectly. For fall, I opted for a classic solid gray. But the holidays make this sparkly version (called “Rock Solid” by NCLA Polish) much more appealing to me.

Silver Glitter
Just as a gold glitter polish is an essential must-have color, a sparkly silver glitter is equally necessary. The best part about a silver manicure is that it goes with everything during the holidays. Try using Essie’s “Set In Stones.” Just be warned: You might not want to take it off until after New Years.

Black & Gold
Take a peek at my thumb and you will see a color that’s black, gold, and chic all over. Black and gold is another color I like to use when I’m in the mood for an edgier manicure. Since it’s not solid black, it doesn’t look too harsh for, say, an office holiday party. But the gold sparkles keep it festive. I used Deborah Lipmann’s “Cleopatra in New York.”

No matter which polish you choose, you can’t go wrong with any of these five festive color choices! What is your go-to nail color during the holidays?
