Lunchtime Luxe: This Burger Will Cost You $100

burger-embed
As mealtime rolls around, perhaps you're looking for something a little more special than just the standard mixed greens or leftovers from last night's dinner. Go for broke and try out the MNO, a seasonal delight from Umami Burger— just be ready to tip generously, because at $100, this burger is no small fry. The MNO, appropriately short for "Money Is No Object," is not a typical pass-the-beef sandwich. According to Umami, it is made of extremely-rare grass-fed Wagyu beef, Grade-A Hudson Valley foie gras, onion marmalade, and reduced 1977 Croft Vintage Port, all topped off with a quarter inch of freshly shaved Italian white truffles. Not too shabby for a burger that is only available during truffle season and must be ordered in advance. Plus, you can't bite this burger without a 25-person party present— perhaps to giggle as you literally put your money where your mouth is. Would you indulge in LA's probably most-expensive treat, or save the Benjamins for something that'll last? (LAist)
