Exaggerated hips, too-short cropped pants, tufts of purple fur tacked into embroidered bunches of flowers, and, of course, those oversized patchworked fur hats… the Marc Jacobs fall '12 collection reminded us of what might happen if Jamiroquai suddenly found himself in Wonderland, and started swapping style advice with The Mad Hatter and your weird aunt Gigi.

However, if you look beyond the theatricality, there are definitely pieces worth spending some time with: Printed pilgrim heels, wide-collared coats, padded miniskirts, and safety-pinned shawls might take some work to fit into our Real Life wardrobes, but we're sure the effect will be tremendous. Challenge accepted!
