According to the rumors, the short list includes the obvious choices (Wu, Narciso Rodriguez, Prabal Gurung, Tracy Reese, Naeem Khan) and a few surprises (Barbara Tfank, Bibhu Mohapatra, Tory Burch, Marchesa). We're guessing that a Marchesa frock will feel too indulgent in lean economic times, and we doubt that MObama would repeat a frock from under-the-radar designer Laura Smalls at the risk of overpowering a fledgling biz. Our money is on a classic number from Michael Kors, a monochromatic sheath from Gurung, or a pretty pastel gown from Tfank. And now, to you: Who's got your vote in the inaugural dress race?
