If Pantone knows anything, it's how to give good shade. So, when its experts gaze into their colorful crystal balls and see the future of trending hues, we listen. According to Pantone's Fashion Color Report for spring '15, the age-old bias for pastels in the springtime is about to turn towards the dark side.
Pantone scanned sketches, runways, and collections to narrow down the top 10 colors favored by designers. And, from the looks of it, they've opted for brighter shades of the classic tints. Pink is Strawberry Ice, light brown is Toasted Almond, and green is Lucite (with light-blue undertones). Blue, however, is the big winner, here: Pantone anticipates three shades — Aquamarine, Scuba, and Classic Blue — will be spring favorites.
