Rumor Has It…Shotwell Is Moving To The Mission

The Mission ‘hood, which already boasts some of our favorite boutiques, including BellJar, Candystore Collective, Gravel & Gold, and Painted Bird, is about to get even more stylish thanks to the relocation of Union Square indie emporium Shotwell. Sources super close to the situation have leaked the news to us that the giant two-level store, which currently sits half a block from the Chinatown gates, will be packing up quite soon and moving back down south to the Mission, where Shotwell first opened its doors in 2008. While we don’t have an exact address, we know the new space, which will be built out by an impressive roster of local artisans, will be in the general vicinity of 18th and Valencia, close to the soon-to-be-opened New York-import Freemans Sporting Club. Other awesome shops that have recently thrown open their doors in the Mission include The Common (relocated from SoMa) and Mira Mira, which is just all kinds of cute. Who else is super stoked?
