Concert Overdose: 10 CMJ Bands You Don’t Wanna Miss!

Every year during the CMJ Music Marathon, hundreds of bands visit NYC seeking fame, fortune, and positive blog reviews. This year will be no different, with shows running from 12 p.m. tomorrow through 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning, pretty much back-to-back. It’s an intense week, but also an awesome one if you manage your time well (a difficult task, considering all the open bars). While some may attempt to see as many bands as possible, we think picking a select few acts to check out over the course of the week is your best move. It’s an easy way to cope with the seemingly impenetrable morass of music, and ensures you won’t die from exhaustion.
