Tavi Continues World Domination, Lands Acting Gig

It's pretty clear by now that Tavi Gevinson is the ultimate self-made woman: her blog made her a star while she was still in middle school, she's got an online magazine of her very own now, and, apparently, she also has a movie role as the pastel icing on top of her moody, angsty, floral-crown-wearing cake. (Side note: Girlie's got a big-time rep at Hollywood talent agency UTA).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tavi has a role locked down in the next Nicole Holofcener flick. And that's a far cry from the first roles most non-actresses normally find themselves taking (ahem, Bring It On: All Or Nothing). But seriously, we list Lovely & Amazing on our list of all-time favorites, and Friends with Money isn't far behind — so, we're on pins and needles, waiting for the lastest from Holofcener.

In what sounds like a perfect role, Tavi will reportedly play Chloe, a young girl who has to learn to grow up way ahead of her peers. If you had any doubts that this as-yet-unnamed film will be an indie classic, the teen star will be accompanied by genre mainstay (and the filmmaker's muse) Catherine Keener, among other indie darlings. No word yet on who will do the costumes, but we're guessing Tavi will be bringing her own floral platforms, thank you very much. (The Hollywood Reporter)
We're pretty much obsessed with this movie already, despite the fact that we know next to nothing about it. Do you dare disagree?
