"Well if you love it so much, why don't you just marry it…" For fellow cat owners, who hasn't joked about their fluffball being a better companion than whatever current scumbag/diva/jerk you're with (or not with). They may sometimes be aloof and, sure, you never expected to have to get your future spouse tested for worms, but cats are undeniably lovable — just ask Karl Lagerfeld for proof. He joked to CNN recently about just how serious he was about his love for his Siamese, Choupette: "There is no marriage, yet, for human beings and animals… I never thought that I would fall in love like this with a cat."

For a kept cat, Choupette has it pretty well; it's rumored that Karl employs private maids to tend to his pet, provides her with thrice-daily grooming sessions, and requests that she eat her meals at Karl's lunch and dinner table. What's next? Double dates with Marc Jacobs and his bull terriers? Meeting the parents? Registering for his-and-hers water bowls at Bergdorfs?
